Well, here we go. Since I dont want to backdate blog entries, I will just tell some tales of how I landed here, what happened since I am here, and what not, and then I will do more regular entries from now on.
I will also get more elaborate as I go along and find out how to use all the features of this blogging software.
It all started when I took my remaining leave from Iraq, early February this year. As I was driving from Munich to Tux, to go skiing, the phone rang and a stranger explained to me that he found my CV on Development Executives and he needed someone with my profile to 'finish' a project in Papua New Guinea. I asked him to send me an email with the details, looked up where PNG was, and everything else is history.
I'm now here since early April and this week it was decided that the technical assistance component of this project will be extended until the end of November. That's me!
